Hi all.
We have a query in BI which has exceptions and based on the exception encountered, an alert is to be triggered to the alert server. The requirement is to pass the row information to the alert server in the CRM system. Meaning to say this query(which has exceptions) has some row elements like sales org, manager, etc and we need to send this row information to the alert server when an exception is encountered. From the alert server in the CRM system, I am to pick the row elements. I first tried to replicate the alert scenario in BW. I used the transaction ALRTCATDEF to setup the category and container. The container object include the objects that I need to show up in the alert inbox. Right now it is defined as ABAP Dict. Data Type - Ex - /bio/OICustomer. The Text section in the category includes - ex -
An alert occurred for the following; &/BI0/OICUSTOMER& / &/BI0/OISALESORG&.
The problem is that the alert inbox is not showing up the customer/salesorg value. It just shows up - An alert occurred for the following.. I have attached a document containing snapshots of the settings and the content of the alert inbox.
I am sure I am doing something wrong. I checked a document which talks of using application specific variables as name value pair -
Alert Container - Alert Management (BC-SRV-GBT-ALM) - SAP Library
I am not sure of this and am in a blind as to how to make this customer/salesorg appear in the alert inbox and finally use handlers to extract the values from the inbox.
I guess someone may have faced similar issue and would appretiate any help in this regard.
